There is a great urgency we feel for everyone to act together to protect the natural environment. To this end, we donate 10% of our profits that will be used directly for the conservation of the Amazon rainforest and will support further research on Amazonian birds and conservation of their habitats on our bird watching tours in South America. This would help the forests in a number of ways: firstly, this will help sustain the forest economy through conservation efforts involving the locals; secondly, the traditional forest dwellers would also be helped, since it will help secure their livelihoods; thirdly, supporting the research on conservation would bring out new and innovative ideas to the fore, the importance of such ideas is highlighted when we are searching for easy-to-implement and economically viable projects. We are optimistic that these efforts would materialize to make a successful conservation movement led by the locals.
